Mr. Alberts Just noticed your post about tennis on the previous page. Here I demonstrate a standard closed stance topspin forehand. The top or radius leads the ulna, or is closer to the opponent's court or target than the ulna. I previously thought that the ulna should lead the radius and that it should feel open. Thank you for helping me understand this concept.

The forehand I am demonstrating is a standard modern one handed stroke with a closed loop in the BS and a semi-western grip. In the golf swing the BS would not be as closed. Seles played with a close to continental grip with both hands and left hand on top. She hit the ball very flat with a square racquet face at impact rather than angled as is the norm, very much like Jan-Michael Gambil.

Man if you could get your golf swing close to that middle picture your going to start playing some good golf!!!!!
That exaggerated look is exactly what I have been working on after my last lesson.

Worst range session ever, hit the first few balls alright, felt that right leg straighten/pelvic release, and then hit every ball after that either a shank or a fat shank. Any advice to help me get that right leg straightened on the DS? After every swing I noticed my right leg severely bent and the right heel flying off the ground like it was in the stills, even with a conscious effort to straighten the right leg on the DS. I hate shanks and hosel hits!

Had better results today, hit a few really good ones.
I felt a super weak right hand grip and lots of right wrist bend in the BS to the top and tried to hold that bend with the radius bone towards the target on the DS, along with trying to roll the weight to the instep of the right foot in an effort to straighten it on the DS. Is a really weak and firm right hand grip the right idea?

Not trying to speak for Denny as I am sure he will chime in, but from my experience with him I am betting he says firm = yes, weak = no.

The right hand placement to me is less important than the left, if you turn your left hand complete strong my guess is you are going to have a closed clubface (unless you complete fan it open) no matter where you place the right hand.

Too open of a face coming in would result in a shank or hosel hit correct? I'll shy away from the weak right hand grip.
Also, I'm curious as to what the advantages are of a tilt away from the target at the top prescribed by Mr. Alberts a few posts up and David Orr in this video:

You're really not too far off. You'll start to learn pitch elbow in M1 and that will be huge. Then all of M2 will be huge. You do a pretty decent job of M3 in your swing. Most of the ABS golfers I've seen have to learn the 4:30 line and pitch elbow as well as proper motion of the hands, then learn all of M2 and have a very long way to go to understand M3.

Currently in Module 2, took these videos today, not sure if I'm doing M2 right haha, my foot slides an awful lot, I think my left foot action needs work in order to improve the right foot action. Looks like I lose a lot of right wrist bend, and I still have that upperbody slide which hopefully will be improved after a lot more M1/M2 reps.

feet don't need to be that wide apart. On the downswing the right knee flexes and then you push off the ground like it's shown in M2 video.
I try to avoid getting my right heel off the ground until well after impact.
For me, I like to feel like there is a wooden dowel rod that is connected between the inside arches of my feet. I then am trying to push that inside arch of the right foot into the inside arch of the left foot.
