I agree. But you could extend that logic to "I don't like person X's website...so I won't spend hours trying to trash them on every other forum I can access." I don't spend hours trying to trash them. Occasionally I will see some of their posts that are nonsensical and comment on them. I don't start threads myself attacking Brian. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I didn't mean that YOU do. I should maybe have prefixed with "it's each reader's responsibility...". I agree with Cloran that this forum, and a few others, would be the better if each reader/poster exercised the sort of self-restraint that you suggested. Well, with all respect, I struggle to see how you can read natep's post principally as a defence of Brian. Your "blind lemmings" comments wasn't aimed at Brian, and it seems pretty clear to me that what he really objected to was the implication that "we all just accept anything he says like we're all a bunch of mouth-breathing droolers" |

I regret that implication as certainly there are many many free thinkers there. My larger point should have been if you disagree with BM you can often be attacked by members of his forum, or worse members of his staff(Finney). |

Haven't seen worse troublemaker in any forum than this guy The other truth is whatever your problem is with whoever has nothing to do with this issue does it? And the truth is you only come to golf forums for the fun of baiting and provoking a particular target or two. You did it at Manzella's and were banned, you did it at Jeff Mann's and were banned, you did it at my forum and were banned (after far too long, I might add), you did it at Ralph's and reduced it to a wasteland (helped along by your buddy cw). Now you're doing it here. A year ago here as "tba" you thought bashing Manzella was hilarious and we were both arm-in-arm! Now that I kicked your psycho ass out of my forum, I'm your target whenever I post here, as is Tapio. You are the absolute last person on earth to be complaining to Richie about "tolerating" someone else's behavior. Why he puts up with your shit is absolutely beyond me. |

I don't really care about who started what on whom. I got off to a bad start when I joined Brian's forum - but where I've disagreed with anything that "the Academy" thinks, I either post it there and try not to get banned, or I keep my thoughts to myself. I don't agree with everything over there - but I don't have a problem with anyone either. PMs sort most things out with no drama. Jeff talks Brian down at every opportunity - but at least he has the excuse that he can't take the fight to Brian on his own turf, which he surely would, given the chance. I don't think natep or cloran are simply defending Brian, but reacting to the tendency to tar everyone who posts there with the same brush. I guess I should be offended too, but these forum wars are getting really, really stale. I'm not defending anyone, as you said... R3J is letting Jeffy run roughshod all over this place. He has his own forum, why he can't keep his hate there is beyond me. I guess "roughshod" is in the eye of the beholder. Let me ask you a question: just who the hell are you to be constantly whining about my behavior? As I reminded you the other day, your completely unprovoked hostility towards Dariusz led me to ban you at my site. And, how the hell did you find a house big enough to fit your head into? Without the slightest hesitation you dictate what kind of forum behavior is appropriate, what jokes are appropriate, how Richie should run his forum, on and on. Look, it's simple: that group at Manzella's is just about as crass as they come and everyone here knows it. The only reason the gang over there pounced on those three is because they post at my forum. Simple, end of story. My god, Lifter??? Who did he bash, ever, anywhere??? I give over 250 lessons a year. I have been growing every year, I don't post a lot because I learned a long time ago that god gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth. I learn from everyone but mostly I learn from myself. I appreciate Jeff, Kelvin, Rich, Brian, Kevin, Lynn, The Hat, Jones, Boomer, teeace etc. etc. My guy was Tom Tomasello. Most of the people on these forums have never spent any time on a range making a living trying to teach this game. Trust me I have a ton of respect for every instructor and would NEVER BAD RAP, or talk bad about any golf instructor who was giving their all for a student. I may not be as articulate as most of you but I will say this there is no better golf instructor that I know then me. And that you can take to the bank... |
