The bad news is---i doubt I could hit and play anywhere else (money is tight)
The good news (for me) is--- it's 8 miles from my home (office) with zero traffic 10 bucks for a 200 ball basket (the balls can be-shall we say-variable!) But as you can see, good grass...I can place buckets out in the range for yardages that I want to work on...
and if I get tired, Hank lets me take the remaining basket home!! Many times, especially with the heat lately, I'm only good for about 75 balls...after that it's counter productive...
10 bucks walking on Mon-Tues-Wed for 18---what time are you gonna be here? LOL bent bob

That looks really good, awesome! What's your ballstriking like out on the course? Are you consistent with the irons?

Thanks Teddy...too bad you can't see the ballflight: big slices. See a couple of posts previous for a description of my game. I'm better with the irons, but wouldn't call it consistent. I struggle with low-point as well as club face control. The last round I played, I shot a 102 on a course that's under 5300 yds. My scoring avg. is 117, and I've basically decided to stop playing, confining myself to the range, until either someone asks me to go play with them or I can consistently straighten out my drives.
To add insult to injury, after being at the range for a couple of hours, I went to GolfSmith last night and finally found a guy who works there who was nice enough to explain how the launch monitors work. I was hitting an Adams 9032LS which felt like the shaft was really long, and could only muster up 97 mph clubhead speed. Ugh. I feel even worse when I think about Kenny Perry, who is almost 50, and swings 111 mph.
I was just in the back yard this afternoon, trying to get my downswing on the elbow plane and trying to shorten my backswing. I don't understand why it's so difficult. When I try to do it, it feels like I really have to drop the club back, but when I look at the pros, it doesn't look like they are doing that, so I don't know what they're doing different to make it look so natural and easy.

Speaking of pros on elbow plane on the downswing. The difference I see is that their right forearm appears to be more vertical than mine which would seem to make it easier to be on the elbow plane since it wouldn't require having to drop the shaft down as much.

Your swing is way to solid to shoot those scores.
So its a true slice that is starting right and going farther right? You are coming in a tad steep but thats not going to send the ball crazy off to the right. It looks to me like your path is way out to th left, then slightly steep and if you are slicing you have an open face.
I think you have pivot issues. You seem pretty athletic.
Its hard to comment to much because the camera placement is pretty bad. Set the camera waist high or so right along the hands line parallel with the target.
And 95mph is perfectly normal, if you hit it real solid you are going to hit a lot of drives in the 250-260 range, you can play any course.

Your swing is way to solid to shoot those scores. Thanks. That's what I've heard since I started. I know it's just a matter of eliminating mistakes mostly. See the attachment. That was my last round. Yeah, I have video of a shot that starts low left and then slices back to the right if you want to see that, but I don't hit those as often. Possibly. I have a hard time knowing when I hit it with my pivot and when I don't. Sorry about that. I tried to get the camera in line with the alignment stick parallel to the target line, but it was on a wobbly chair, so about 20" high. Yeah, I know. I just thought I'd be more around 105 at least. I still don't think I've found my most efficient swing; have throwaway; and lack confidence. Attachments:

Pav,
You do things in your swing that I WISH I was doing...
I agree with Greg. That swing is too good to shoot in the 100s.
Keep on keepin on my man!

Thanks Cloran. I'm telling you guys, if my drivers just went straight (and further than my 5 wood [can't hit my 3 wood either]), I'd be doing much better.
I will tell you about something I've started to suspect and that's the shaft weight differences between my Driver/3w and 5w. My 5w shaft is 75g, and my D/3w are both 65. I feel like I can just pick up my 5w, swing, and 9 times out of 10 it's going to be a fairly nice shot. With the D/3w, I'm all over the place. I know the extra loft of the 5w helps keep it straight, but I'm wondering if things would improve with heavier shafts in my D/3w.

Swap it out asap, Pav...
I put an X300 steel shaft in my driver head and never looked back. I think it's 130g or so. Cut to play at 43" so it may be a little lighter, but still almost twice as heavy as what you play. The vid I have on youtube of my driver swing is with this driver.
That being said, I still hit it off the planet the last time I played, lol. 9 penalty shots... 18 total strokes added to the card. Had I been able to play with my "3 off the tee" ball as my 1st shot I would have shot 79... gotta love this game!

Yeah, I was going to buy a Grafalloy ProLaunch Platinum S tomorrow based on your earlier recommendation.

Why not try a TT DG steel shaft? As cheap as it gets and heavy. I honestly haven't lost any distance going to steel.

That looks really good. I know it sucks, but you shouldn't be shooting those numbers swinging like that...
Was the second shot a bigger slice than the first. It looks like on the second swing you picked the club up a bit more, clubface shut a bit longer and slightly outside the line leaving you a little across the line at the top. From there, you look more likely to get your path going left. Pivot-wise, there is something going on there. Your move from the top looks good, but is there a fraction of a flip there? Hanging back a bit or something? I can't quite put my finger on it, but (from the face-on view) it doesn't look like you are giving yourself the pivot your swing deserves!

Thanks Jonny. Yeah, the second one was a bigger slice than the first. I can tell because the initial trajectory is higher than the first. I'm talking about a 30 or 40 yd slice.

Just a thought, but have you tried delaying your hip rotation to give your right elbow more room to come from the inside? Your swing looks really good but probably something is forcing you to come over the top.
